Individual Therapy

At Wave Wellness, we use  evidence-based practices and creative therapeutic approaches, with an understanding that therapy is not “one-size fits all.” 

As registered and experienced therapists, we know that it is essential to foster an environment that feels comfortable, and collaborative to build trust and deliver real results.

We meet with people from all walks of life and at different places in their journey, but we commonly support individuals who are struggling with:

  • emotional issues around anger, anxiety, depression, burnout, low self-esteem

  • relationship struggles with communication, boundaries, ow self-esteem, lack of boundaries

  • trauma (big T and little t) stemming from childhood development, attachment wounds, family systems, loss, tragedy, violence, bullying

  • career related concerns such as transitions, work-related stress, new careers, job loss and leadership skills

Together we will explore your experiences, patterns, and beliefs. With the benefit of fresh insight, you will be able to identify what’s holding you back in life while gaining the strength and strategies to overcome your struggles.

We offer flexible scheduling and provide our services virtually in Ontario, because we want therapy to be as accessible, convenient, and comfortable for you.

Couple’s Therapy

Harnessing Relationship Life Therapy, I see couples as interconnected systems, focusing on how their interactions and patterns contribute to their relationship dynamics. Here are a few examples of what that can look like in couple’s therapy:

  • Empathy and Validation, creating a safe and supportive environment by actively listening and validating the experiences of both partners.

  • Identifying Patterns, helping the couple identify recurring patterns of interaction, such as blaming, avoiding, or withdrawing.

  • Exploring Emotional Responses, diving in to underlying emotions that drive these patterns, recognizing that these emotions often stem from past experiences or unmet needs.

  • Facilitating Open Communication, encouraging open and honest communication, helping the couple express their thoughts and feelings without judgment.

  • Teaching New Skills, providing clients with new communication and conflict resolution skills to help the couple navigate challenges more effectively.

By focusing on the emotional processes that shape relationships, RLT therapists provide couples with tools to improve their communication, resolve conflicts, and build stronger, more fulfilling partnerships.

Being in nature can help us relax and think more clearly, as we become more attuned to the world around us. The soothing sounds of birds, rustling leaves, and other natural elements can also help us disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
