I’m Lindsay Van Volkenburg, Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, and I help ambitious, women break free from anxiety and self-doubt by healing the deeper wounds beneath their patterns—so they can finally feel confident, grounded, and in control of their lives.
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re tired of second-guessing yourself.
welcome.
You’ve got big dreams, a kind heart, and an inner critic that just never goes away. You’ve done the journaling. You’ve downloaded the mindfulness apps. Maybe you’ve even tried therapy before. But still… something keeps holding you back.
You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. And you’re definitely not alone.
What you’re experiencing is the weight of outdated beliefs—stories that were written long ago about who you need to be in order to feel safe, loved, and worthy.
My work is about helping you rewrite those stories.
This work is personal to me.
Before I became a therapist, I spent years trying to outrun the belief that I wasn’t good enough.
Like so many women I work with now, I hid behind perfection and productivity—while quietly feeling anxious, unworthy, and disconnected. I learned early on that love had to be earned through silence, achievement, or self-sacrifice… and for a long time, I thought I was the problem.
But healing taught me the truth: we’re not broken—we’re just carrying old stories and survival strategies that no longer serve us.
Most women who feel stuck or anxious aren’t unmotivated. They’re carrying deep fears of not being enough. These wounds don’t heal with insight alone—they heal when we meet those inner parts with compassion, and let your true Self lead.
That’s the work I help clients with.
